Organ Concert on the Lawn

Picnic begins 12 noon – Concert begins 1:00 pm

Pack a picnic lunch*, chairs or a blanket and join us for a brief outdoor organ program by Randy Steere playing the Meta VPO organ that is to be installed into the newly constructed 1,000 seat concert hall at the Indian Hill Music School in 2022. The program will include works by Mendelssohn, Bach, Widor, Whitlock, and Guilmant. The program will be followed by open console time.

The organ is made up of 12 Hauptwerk organ sample sets of exciting organs from around the world with 42 speaker cabinets, including 16 sub-woofers. It has 41,600 watts and is capable of producing 64′ tone.

Mr. Steere received a BM from Barrington College, MM and Mdiv from Yale University, and a Masters in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a prominent church organist, teacher, and recitalist as well as an IT professional who ran his own consulting and software company for 20 years.
